Team Workspaces

Team Workspaces are available on Advanced and Premium plans and make it easy for teams to collaborate in BioLM. Every user always has access to their own Personal Workspace, but Team Workspaces let you share billing, resources, and assets across multiple users.

Key Concepts

  • Personal Workspace

Your default workspace, available to every BioLM user. Resources here (like notebooks or volumes) are only visible to you.

  • Team Workspaces

A shared workspace you can be invited to. Each Team Workspace has its own billing, quotas, and resources. This lets you collaborate with colleagues while keeping team projects separate from your personal experiments.

    Environments

Within a workspace, you can create and switch between multiple Environments. Environments help you organize related assets — for example, one environment for training models, another for protocol development.

    • Assets stored in an environment include:
      • Notebooks
      • Volumes (persistent storage)
      • Custom Protocols
      • Other workspace resources

How to Use Team Workspaces

  1. Switching Workspaces

Use the workspace selector in the top navigation bar to switch between your Personal Workspace and any Team Workspaces you are a member of.

  2. Creating and Managing Environments

Inside each workspace, create new environments to organize your projects. For example, a “research” environment for exploratory notebooks and a “production” environment for validated models.

  3. Collaborating in Team Workspaces

Assets created in a Team Workspace environment are visible to all members of that workspace. This makes it easy to co-develop notebooks, share datasets, and build protocols together.

Premium Support Collaboration

If you are on a Premium Plan, the BioLM team can actively collaborate with you inside your workspace:

  • Co-authoring and reviewing notebooks
  • Assisting with protocol design
  • Helping with model prototyping and fine-tuning
  • Offering hands-on support directly in your working environment

This makes Premium support much more than just Q&A — it’s embedded collaboration directly in your projects.
